role of the nurse assistant
- Share your wisdom and ideas for improving care and
enhancing your career as a nurse assistant
The question is: "What do I do that makes me a
Specialist in the care I give?"
Just tell us: What do you do that makes you a specialist
in the art of caring? What does it mean to be a
"Specialist"? The word "Art" means
those things that make your daily life more pleasant,
friendly or meaningful. What do you do to let others know
that you value and respect them? Give us an example of
how you make daily life more pleasant, friendly or
meaningful for yourself and for the people in your care,
or about how you are enhancing your own career goals.
The booklet, "Art of Caring"
is the fifth in a series of "Tips by NAs for
NAs" and includes more wisdom and humor by you --
the experienced NA. We want to include your ideas in this
booklet. Won't you take a few minutes to tell us about
your experiences. In return, we will list your name as a
contributor and send you a complementary copy of
"TIPS 5" as soon as it is printed. In addition,
we will tell you how to list this important contribution
on your resume.
Please fill out form and limit your
essay to two paragraphs. If possible, please enclose
photos of those involved. Submit your own entry - or you
may work with other nurse assistant(s) to develop this
essay. Return the completed form to the address below.
