After being a cna for all these years..I'm thinking of leaving it...I've bounced around from nursing home to nursing home finding so much abuse and neglect and if you report it you get canned...and the abuser still works there...then we have this shortage..And now I work agency(1year)..having 2 cna's caring for 30 residents and being booted from a facility because I could leave 1 resident to get to another and when I did get there I couldn't care for the person alone I had to get help..I was pulled out of the place and it just doesn't seem fair...I've never had any complaints on my work or on me as a worker...What has nursing come to?..I did call the ombudsman and found out that I could even be sued for not answering the light...so tell me friends..is this going on in all states?...is anyone else confused about their career choice as a cna?
