the real name for c-diff is c-difficile. It is contagious and patients should be on contact isolation, I work in a hospital and that is what we do. Demand to wear gowns before taking care of patients. Go to this link for more information, there are several other sites as well.C-diff is caused by taking too many anti-biotics. If the facility where you work has'nt taken the proper precautions I would pursue it.Patients should also be in a private room.
