I am taking a CNA training class just over the NC border at York Tech Community College in South Carolina. I was unable to take a class in NC due to my college schedule. I want to work in Charlotte and my question is: After I complete my training in SC can I test in NC to receive certification from North Carolina? I have heard varied answers to this question. I want to avoid paying the testing fee in SC only to find out that I will have to pay that fee again to test in NC. I really need to start work as soon as possible and if I had to test in two different states that would be very expensive and very time consuming. Please help!!!Thanks.
