Petition for Patient and Resident Rights

Whereas: We believe that all patients deserve courteous, professional appropriate care and a quality of life Petition for Patient and Resident Rightswithin every healthcare system;
Petition for Patient and Resident Rights
Whereas: Abuse is the willful, infliction of injury, unreasonable confinement, intimidation or punishment with resulting physical harm or mental anguish;

Whereas: Nursing Homes, Hospitals, and Health Care Facilities Administrators are responsible for scheduling the trained nursing assistants staff to provide quality care for Patients and Residents;

Whereas: Realistic staffing levels are paramount. Staffing requirement is needed in protecting patient and resident from injury, confinement, and mental anguish;

Whereas: Career Nursing Assistants are instrumental in promoting and safeguarding the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the patients, and residents;

Now, Therefore Let it be resolved that: The undersigned believe that, Medicaid cuts are creating staffing shortages and understaffing of Nursing Assistants and Direct Care Workers constitutes Patient and Resident Abuse.
