accepted by others more willingly than those based on just concepts. When I was a newbie, all I had were concepts. Ideas of what I believed this work was all about. I had no actual experience (very little anyways). It is like when we were a lot younger and we relied on our parents, teachers and peers for our actual knowledge. That is, until we shared things by experiencing them ourselves. We learned and experienced things by doing them. Then we could decide for ourselves with more certainty what to do and when. These choices were now done from actual experiences. You see the difference? It is like you asking a 10 year old what they thought working for a living would be like. They have no actual experience, just what they have seen and heard from others. Now this child could tell you that he/she did not really know or, as many do, they delve into their concepts and give you an answer. What they say to you is an action which often demands a reaction from you. How they answer your question will have a great deal to do with your response. If there answer pisses you off, how would you respond? You know they do not know what they are talking about in reality, because they have never really worked for a living. Except for maybe delivering newspapers. All I am really saying here is that if you have an educated opinion based on actual experiences and not just a very limited experience say so. But, to lead people to believe something is so, when it is not, hurts those who really do know and can damage those others who do not know! Now, once you have fired back your response to that 10 year old, they in turn get pissed at you. LOL...It is only natural after all. You insulted them! So to end the exchange on a happier note, you swallow your pride and say, ok forget it. Because in your heart you know better! You know that with more time and experience that 10 year old will realize what you were really trying to tell them. The real meaning and purpose of your words. Rich
