Career Nursing Assistants Network of N. Carolina

We will be having our next meeting April 18,2002 at the Durham Publlic Library #3rd Floor Conference Room. North Carolina is closing two more Mental Health Hospital soon. It will make our workplace more violent and more dangerous. Our workplace will be receiving more resident with dangerous disorders. These resident will be dangerous to themselves and to other residents and our untrained staff. Once the beds are cut in the Mental Health Hospitals, they will have no place else to go.Nursing Home do not staff for Violent Clents and we have not beeen trained to care for these residents. In North Carolina the Averge CNnA's makes $7.50 a hour. We will lose many good Career Nursing Assistants as the workplace become more unfriendly. We must register to vote and Unite. We are part of the Durham Voter Coalition.
