I am a CNA and I was working at a high skilled nursing home
I got pregnant and my Doctor gave me restrictions (I had a miscarriage 2 months prior)since there was no DON at the time I had
to talk to the Administrator. He told me that since I had
restrictions there was nothing that I could do but stay home since there is no such thing as
light duty for a CNA and that is what the doctor had requested. The Administrator
also said that I was more than welcome to come back when I
had my baby and that I would get the same shift same hours
of course none of this was in writing or I didn't even complain
but recently since I had my beautiful, healthy, baby boy
I called and they said well we don't know call the person who
does scheduling, which is someone different than the person
that was there when I was there of course, and she will schedule you
when there is openings. I don't think that I should be scheduled whenever they want to
because of my situation I should be able to get the same shift what should I do?
