Our nurses are being held solely responsible for our actions! They are to do walking rounds with the off-going and on-coming nurse to check our rooms and residents. They check to make sure that our ADL books are filled out and that we've done any other charting. All this is okay with me, but shouldn't the CNA's be held responsible! If things aren't done, the nurses are made to feel as if they aren't doing THEIR jobs. One of my nurses said that this change is a total waste, and that he will not double check our work. He worked as an orderly for years and knows that we need to feel respected and needed. I mean, come on, aren't we all supposed to be adults...professionals at that!!!
