So glad you are trying to do something about a poor situation. What part of KY are you in? I Just did a workshop down in Bowling Green and I know a number of areas are forming Nursing Assistant organizations. These are not unions, but organizations that join together for common good. They work through legislature and public policy while taking positive steps to make the work place better as well. If you email me your address privately to [email protected], I can put you in touch with some of the people in KY.
Watch also for more info on this site about the National Leadership Training Program for NAs. You may want to attend. It will put you in touch with many others from across the coutry who are also trying to make things better. The new pages should be ready soon

: I have been searching endlessly to find a CNA union to join.One that is much like a Labor union to back CNA's up when they are treated unfairly or harrassed by nurses or other staff in a LTC facility.I live in KY if anyone has any info please E-mail me.I think there is time for change in the way good and compassionate aides are treated by others who have "authority".
