As a unit coordinator of an Alzheimer's unit, I feel that it is so important to work as a TEAM. I understand that we are all very busy and many times task oriented to get the job done . The residents that we care for deserve the best possible care by all of us. We are all trained to meet the needs of the residents. What a rewarding feeling it is to pass a tray, answer a call bell, help a resident to the bathroom, hand them a tissue or drink of water. These simple tasks take little time, and we as nurses can help our very dedicated nurses aides and residents by letting them know that we care too. Everyone needs to feel appreciated and by helping them I hope they feel that they are!
