Career development is important for any professional. That we continue to learn is the essance of life and work. Our Career Ladder/Path Program is based on a hierarchy of learning identified by NAs in a special research project funded by the National Institute of Aging. We will be releasing the curriculum later this fall, but are doing some programs now and will be conducting programs for trainers as well.

An important focus for our program is the advancement in knowledge and skill that makes the person a better or more effective NA, rather than moving her out of the NA position.

Watch for more info in this site about the National Leadership Program for NAs. Keep in touch and let us know how you do.

: I am developing a program to help CNAs advance in their careers. If you all have thoughts about the following questions, please let me know.

: What do you think are the best career opportunities for CNAs? How do you advance your career? Do you have better experiences working in individual homes, nursing homes or hospitals? What types of additional training or experience do you need to advance?

: Thanks for your help
