Some states will accept work experience in home care, hospice, hospital or other health care sites - one state just accepted the work of a NA in an emergency room.

Each state has its own requirments and you did not tell mw your state

You need to talk to your state registry asap. Tell them where you have been working and ask them if they will accept this toward your reapproval. If they will not accept this, then call a temporary agency and ask them to place you for a few days. Most facilities will not hire you for one day - too much paper work and they do not want to oreient you so you can leave right away - so your best bet is to get something that is temporary

You did not tell me what your state is but you can find this info on this web site, but you can find that info on this page.

Go to the buttons on the left side of this page
Click on "New NA FAQ" Then click on "how to find a training program" You will see a list of the States Nurse Aide Training Programs offices. Scroll down to find your state and call them. Be ready to fax a copy of your SS, your current approval card, and verification of your employment this past 2 years. this can be a memo from your adminsitrator or DON or in some states they will accept your paystub.

You also may be able to get reapproval over the internet. Again, check the listing of State NATPs and if they have a web site listed, then go to this for more instructions.

Be sure to bookmark these sites so you can come back to them.

Good luck
