Thanks for connecting. In our title, the CNA stands for Career Nursing Assistant and includes nursing home, home care, hospice, attendent, etc -In fact, we have a list of more than 80 titles used by hands-on-caregivers in long term care.
Our purpose is to validate, empower and connect NAs in long term care in ways that will lead to growth and postive change.

The National Home Care Assn endorses our programs and many state and local Assoc do as well. Many home care workers access our site and are involved with our programs.

We would be pleased to link with your site and to offer your message board as a resource for home care. We only ask that you continue to work toward postive solutions to the difficult issues of care.

If you can send me your postal mailing address, we will send additional info in the mail.

Thanks again for connecting - we need all the good workers we can get if we are to deal effectively with the issues at hand.

I was looking for somewhere like this message board that was specific to aides that work in home care, and couldn't find any, so I started on of my own. I am a RN, who was the Inservice Director ina Nursing home, and taught the CNA class, and I am now doing home care, training Personal Care Aides, and then upgrading them, to Home Health Aides. I have nothing but an incredible respect for the hard work that Nurse Aides do, and I want to hear what you r joys and rewards are, and what your company does (or doesn't do) to promote postive feedback to you.

We are working on a testimony to HCFA (3/14/00) about abuse and neglect in long term care from the NA perspective. We would be most pleased to include any thing you feel needs to be brought forward about this important issue.

: Working as a CNA in a nursing home is a tremendously difficultjob, believe me, I realize that, but Home Care has it's own set of frustrations... I wanted to give Home Care aides a chance to vent. Thank you for your time, and God Bless you for all your caring and hard work.
