I wish you the best of lick with you meeting with the DON & administrator. As far as the DON is concerned,I think many of them forgot where they came from. We had one like that here in Fairburn,but she is no longer with us any more.Infact,she never knew how many people disliked her.Many of your administrators never speny one day caring for the residents.
Until they get in to a nursing home themselves,they will not care.
However ther are many DON's and administrators that are rutting for CNA's,you just happen to be in the wrong Nursing home.By the time they wake-up,it will be to late. At our CNA Conference in Washingto,D.C.,you would not beleive the organizations that stood up for us.As Patti once said "We Are our own enemies.I wish you could have been there.Each Year we are growing stronger and stronger.This was the best Conference we had in the five years I have been going.
CNA's,Residents,and many Advocates for nursing home improvement
stood up for us,but best of all,we stood up for ourselves.Contact Jeni at [email protected]. She is and have been doing a wonderful job for us.Contact other CNA's and teel them about us.I am happy to be back on line,I have been very sick (cancer & heart condition. Keep up the good work and let us know how you came out.If there is anything we can do,call on us.We would like to see around 500 more CNA's at the conference next year.And don't forget, "WE SERVE BECAUSE WE CARE."
