Yes,the CNA's should be held responsible for the
rounds if a problem arises but,unfortunatly this
falls on the nurse. He/she is in charge of us and, for the most part,they generally do not check
behind the aides unless there have been a number
of complaints. If you do not go with the aides &
check the patients/residents when you do make a
complaint about something,you are going to be
asked if you made rounds with the off going aides.
Where I work we even "tag" our linen. This is
due to my shift always getting blamed for leaving
linen that has not been rinsed.
