come from a small town in WI that has very limited positions for CNA's. In fact we only have one nursing home and one hospital. Although we have several CBRF's, this is just not what I want to do. As a CNA in northern Wisconsin my opportunities for advancement in my field are 0. If I chose to become an LPN would I still have the level of hands on care with my geriatric residents that I have now or would I have more paperwork and nursing duties? Are there any other options that would allow me to still do what I love and yet advance my career?
