I did not realize how important CNA's were or how dedicated most were until I saw how they took care of my beloved Grandmother. They truly cared about her. I This made an impression on me and when I had an opportunity to work with a company (which was totally out of my line of work) that provides inservice training via video (the only one of it's kind) I jumped at the chance. This is not A SALES PITCH ...JUST A THANK YOU. Now, I thought I was impressed wtih CNA's until we spent literally hundreds of hours interviewing CNA's, taping them with their patients and marveling at their ability to do a fantastic job at a pay rate that should be a national disgrace.These CNA's, because we were making the program affordable to all institutions agreed to do all of this for free. They had alot of input and God bless them we ended up with 12 tapes(10-15 minutes each)that are superior. They suggested and we agreed to have post-test, pre-test, instructor\student guides, and to keep the videos short and to the point because they are busy!! They insisted on this. Anyway they are great(although I still cannot watch the one on Pressure Ulcer Prevention - weak stomach!!) So there you go...CNA's helping because they truly want to..good hearted...kind... helping us.
