If you have worked at all as a NA in the past 2 years, you can request reciprocity from the State. You do have to show proof and a W-2 form or pay stubb is sufficient - you will also need your social security card, and a photo ID along with a copy of your previous approval.
The lastest address we have for the PA State NATP is as follows:
PA Dept of Hlth- Div of Nsg Care Facilities
PO Box 90
Harrisburg PA 17108
(717) 772-3815
(800) 852-0518
I am also going to forward your request to 2 of our representaives in the Phil area. They are Carol Tschop who works with a NH corp and Casey Reeder, Restorative Care at a facility in the area. Casey is also co-chair of our National Male NA Task Force. Either can help you get into the loop.

: I left the nursing assistant field for about 2 years to step back from the stress and see if this is really for me. For some reason it is truly what I want to do. My problem is that I'm new to Philadelphia and am having a hard time finding out what steps I need to take in order to get recertified. Do I need to retake the class or can I just retake the exam for certification. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
