Thanks for the good words about NAs and best of luck with your report. If you will send me your mailing address, we will put additional info in the mail to you. In addition, you sound like someone who would be an asset to the Male NA Task Force. At best it is difficult to get everyone together because of cost, but many will be meeting at the 3rd Annual Leadership Conf in DC (October 29-30. Maybe you can help.

: : Hello all! I am a a senior nursing student and will receive my BS in May. For a class assignment this upcoming week, I am to research CNA's perceptions of nurses. In particular, how are you treated by nursing staff? Is there an atmosphere of mutual respect and teamwork? Do you feel that nurses are sensitive to your concerns and recognize your contributions to patient care? Aside from writing to ask for your input, I would also like to take the opportunity to thank you for your commitment to your residents/patients. I have been scrolling through this message board for almost an hour now, and have been touched by all the concerns addressed and the support you give one another. My sophomore year in college I worked as a nurse's aid in a local nursing home. I understand the fatigue and frustration that often comes with the job. That summer was among the most rewarding, yet physically and emotionally challenging experiences I have ever had. From it, I gained an appreciation for the work that CNA's do and the compassion with which they do it. You are the backbone of America's health care system. Thank you and God bless.
