Just had to repond to this.

I was in a serious auto accident and spent many months in a body cast and halo. For the first 6 weeks, many people promised me that they would wash my hair, then one day, a NA at the rehab hospital said "didnt anyone do that for you yet?"
When I said "no" and that I was still pulling glass from my hair, she immediately got a basin, pitcher, trough and other stuff and proceeded to wash my hair - it was heavenly and made me feel human again. She did this for me each week that I stayed in the rehab hospital

When I was released, still wearing the body cast and halo. Since I was still unble to care for myself, I lived at my daughters house and she took up the role of hair washer - it was a major production. Fortuantly, it was summer and we were able to do this on her back porch. We did a video - she called it "shampooing an angel" - named because of my halo. It was a home video, but I have thought often about taking it to a producer who would do the editing etc.

Thanks for the opportunity to reminisce.

: First, You fillup a Container, much like you would pour large juice or a water pitcher of Warm Clear water.
: You put a few Incontinent pads underneath their back, and some towels etc to keep them dry as possible.

: The Facility, should have a Blow up type hair thing, that looks like a small baby pool.
: The resident lays their head inside this, and you wet the hair a bit, and apply shampoo.
: you lather and do a shampoo, and rinse,
: rinsind should take about 5 times or so, by pouring the water onto the hair,
: and taking the
: "baby" pool and eliminating the sopay water.

: per each rinse until you are sure the soap is out of he hair.
: If you condition the hair.
: the same procedure applies. as above.

: Hope that helped.
