If you are in nursing or working as a nursing assitant, you should call the local wage and hour administration to find out the salary level in your area. Then look at the amount of schooling and the experience you have in that area and ask them what is comparable salary - how much someone should be making. Also look at ads in a number of different papers - you can find them in the library - see what the going rate is and dont take less.
Unfortunately,some places are unscrupulous and will try to hire you at less than you should be getting.
