Yes,I agree with you the CNA's should be held
responsible for the rounds.We usually either go
check our patients/residents before the other
aides leave or,we go back up the hall with them
and make sure they've done everything. We even
"tag" our soiled linen. This is due to my shift
always getting blamed for linen left that has not
been rinsed out. If I go up to my nurse and
complain about how something was left undone by
the previous shift,the first thing she/he is going to ask me is if I checked this before the
previous shift left. If I say no then I've got
no proof that it was not done. The only thing that you can prove the previous shift did not do
is change the resident/patient.
