refuse to document care that didn't happen.
Plain and simple. If we are short staffed, and
things don't get done- we will not sign anything
saying it was done. Of course we prioritize our
work to try to get it all done, but there is just
no way. Management hasn't liked our attitudes
about this, but honesty is always the best policy
and we answer to a higher authority (our conscience) when it comes to documenting.
f an issue occurs and an incident report needs to
made out- and if staffing had anything to do with
why the issue occurred- we add this to the report.
Sounds like they have many levels of fat where
you work, but not enough true muscle power (CNA).
Does the fat help out when you're short?
