The 2nd National Leadership Confernce for Nursing Assistants will be held in Arlington VA 10/31-11/2/99, sponsored by your National Network of Career Nursing Assistants (this web site).
NAs are being called upon to provide leadership in many ways when you work on committees, mentor new NAs, work in your own peer groups, talk with the Mayor or newspaper, or advocate for yourself in the workplace. There also is a new awareness in the community and in administration of the need to address issues of nursing assistants in positive ways. Being able to speak for your self and the people in your care in positive ways helps you become a part of the solution. The Leadership Conf is a 12 hour training program to help you gain skills to work in these new roles..
