unfortunately most nursing homes only offer the classes during the day then will put you on the shift you want to work once finished with class.....and in response to whoever said the nursing home programs are better they are wrong...the nursing home programs only give you minimum training to pass state exam and alot of things they will teach only apply to that soecific facility youare much better off goin to a votech or community college if you want quality training..sometimes the college offers the classes at night also

: I too am a mom and looking into becoming a cna.I have been told that it is better to get cna license through a nursing home, not to do it on your own.I am finding it hard to get info on nursing homes that pay you as you train. The ones I did find offer classes during the day wich is hard for me having 3 kids ages,5,4,2.I'm in pinellas county so if anyone can help I would be grateful.Remember I am looking for night training. Thanks
