I have recently left the law enforcement field and still want to be an active in public assistance. I started to join this field seven years ago, but went with Criminal Justice instead. I know I have to attend a continuing education program, which I have found through a local college. I was wondering however, what is the normal amount of time to complete this initial training, and what does CNA entitle a person to do? Also will any of the books about the state exam help to pass the exam? I have several online and wanted to know if they will help at all prior to spending a lot of money of them. I live right on the border of SC and Ga. Will I need to certify in both states? Thanks for the help and info, any reply will be greatly appreciated.
