NAs have been provided stability to residents in nursing homes, home care and other settings "big time" throughout this national disaster. Many have expressed concerns about residents who are afraid or have flashbacks to air raids and battles of WWII, or imprisionment during the ward, or others.

How do you cope with this? What are the things that helped you alleviate stress for your residents - and for your coworkers? What did you do to remain calm thoughout this?

If you will share your ideas with us, we will compile the list. This may be very valuable not only for crisis such as the bombings but also for floodsm, hurricaines and other crisis situations. I think that families also would feel better knowing about some of the wonderful things you are doing to alleviate stress for their loved ones.

You can leave notes on this message board or feel free to email me privately at [email protected]

Thank you for being so stedfast through out this terrible ordeal.
