I have a 16 year work history at a local hospital in my state of ga. (1988-2005) If I am not mistaken, nursing assistants started being certified in 1997. During this time, my job started a rehab tech class for the nursing assistants to be able to perform more duties, (eg) glucose testing, ekg's, male/female catherization, g-tube feeding, etc. I only had to produce a Certificate of Attendance from the school I attended, which I did. Now I am discovering that I am not listed on the GA. REGISTRY and I need to be tested in order for me to be listed on the REGISTRY. My Personnell Director have faxed all my competency records and work history to the Registry, but , they still say I have to be tested. Advice please. |
