HELP!

Am wondering if any CNA's that are working in a facilty that is union, can help me here. I've been employed at my facilty 25 years ( have the most seniority in the facilty)..we are required to fill out a vacation schedule with requested vacation time for the year, which is granted by seniority. I had requested a week off this month ( January), and the ADON posted the schedule and denied me. She first said she didn't even look at the vacation schedule when she made the schedule out, then she said she was short staffed because of 2 CNA's that are on leave and 2 she dismissed. So, I'm out, but yet another CNA has vacation time requested on the next 2 week schedule and appears quite confident she'll get hers granted. ( the ADON also said they are hiring and hope to have new CNA's starting soon). Is that fair to me? I'm rather upset that my vacation was ignored but they'll grant it to the next one. Also, some of us work 8 days/pay. She ( ADON) claims she don't have to give us just 8 days, that she an schedule us 10 if she needs to and not even discuss it with us. She's been just taking days off from a few of us and not even saying anything. It's ridiculous. You can't plan anything or make any appointments. Am anxious to hear some feedback about these issues. Feel free to mail [email protected] Thanks
