This the letter I sent the State of Alaska after I reported. I would like to know if you could answer a question for me about Sec. 47.24.010. Reports of harm, then mostly the part pertaining to Sec. 47.24.120. Immunity from liability; retaliation prohibited. I know that as an EMT I have to report under if I even suspect that harm is being done it's the retaliation part that I having a problem with.

I worked with one of the Local agencies that deal with people with disabilities, and during this time I started to suspect that my supervisor was stealing from the person in my care. So I reported not only to the director but also to Social Services, KANA (he is Alaskan Native), and to his primary physician Dr. Solenberger. After a fight on my part to get the ball rolling both my supervisor, and a one other top employee were terminated, and I was shown casher's checks for items the person in my care had never owned, and/or received. The proposals that were written for these items had to been fraud, and it the checks are not used on the item they were written for then by law they are to be sent back, and all proposals must cross the director desk to be signed. I have proof that the director knew for over a year, and even said that these were her friends, and she would get even with the person who started it.

If by being a CNA, and an EMT I have to report harm then how does the director who is also on the list of people who have to report get away with not reporting for years?

When a State requires me to report by law shouldn't it come to my aid when I get terminated, and blacked ball in the city I live? I was even told at a job interview that after stealing form a person with special needs that I shouldn't ever work in health care again. If you or some one you know could answer these questions I would be most appreciative.

Sincerity
